“Firstly I want to say I LOVE MY HOME!! I have been living in it now for over a year and I have loved every moment of being here. In fact, when I leave the house for whatever reason, its such a wonderful feeling to know I have this beautiful home to come back to. The main comment I receive from guests that visit is what a lovely flow and feel my home has and although there are lots of factors contributing to this the main factor is down to the layout and the integrity of the design.
One of the main reasons I chose Carolyn as my architect was that I really liked her energy. On first meeting with Carolyn, she appeared genuine and friendly and authentic and that never changed throughout our partnership together during the project. My brother was a big part of helping me to rebuild my house and so Carolyn had to deal with not only my wants and needs but also to deal with a non-traditional partnership in the process. I found the process of working with Carolyn easy and straightforward with an ease and a flow that made it all enjoyable and seamless.
Carolyn had a great relationship with our builder which made it all the more stress free. Any issues that did arise the solution was quickly unearthed and dealt with, with minimal drama. Carolyn was sympathetic to my needs and desires and was able to capture what I wanted with creativity but also practicality. She was very mindful of the sensitivities around this build and was incredibly kind and considerate in every part of the build. I can honestly say that each meeting we had was enjoyable and fun with lots of laughter to co-create my beautiful home.
The build was not of traditional material being made of SIPS panelling, so there was a lot more detail and discussions needed with the engineers and the builder, and I appreciated the skill in which Carolyn navigated the ins and outs of this process.
If I were to consider building another home, I would definitely choose Carolyn as my architect and have no hesitation in recommending her services to others.”

“We own a small 1960s bach surrounded by bush in Piha which we wanted to renovate and move into full time.The plan was to open it up to allow in more light with one less bedroom and useful storage while still keeping the same small footprint.
Carolyn worked closely with us for over 18 months on the design, resulting in a modern stylish yet practical home which we love. During that time I found Carolyn an absolute joy to work with.
